Black and White

I've always been the type to hide when things got too intense
But when I'm with you, the walls fall down and everything makes sense

I can't help but feel that I was meant to know you
So every day since we have met I've tried my best to show you

We fit together so naturally; it's so comfortable and right
I want you there when I wake up and lying next to me each night

When I look down the road of life I can't see where or what
But what I know is I'm with you and that's more than enough

Some might say don't move so fast and they might be right
But right for them is not right for us; it's that simple, black and white

This was my favorite line in this poem:

Some might say don't move so fast and they might be right

i've always been the type to hide when things get out of control too. that, and i tend to escape from problems rather than face then. it is such a bad habit. Either way, i can relate to the lines in this poem. good job.

Yes, this poem is very evocative! I think your opening stanza is very strong - it pulls us right into the rest of the poem. Nice work.
